For twenty-five years, I have worked in the beauty industry with pride and passion.

I originally studied acting in college, but when I moved to the United States, I couldn't continue on that path. My mother — who spent her whole life as a hairstylist — encouraged me to become a makeup artist instead.

She always told me I had her hands. I didn't understand it at the time, but once I began this work, I came to know it for myself.

There was a quiet grief in letting go of acting — but I have come to love who I am now: someone who makes others beautiful.
